Academic Profile
I graduated in Computer Science from UFPR - Universidade Federal do Paraná in 2024. I am currently undergoing my Master's degree in Zoology at IBB-Unesp, researching divergence time estimation in phylogenies based on the stratigraphic record of a group of taxa, using Bayesian inference methods.
My research interests lie in the intersection between CompSci, Statistics, Biology and Paleontology. My topics of interest include phylogenetic inference, statistical models and method development for paleobiology and applications of parallel computing in these fields.
In 2024, I first released GASPAR, a phylogenetic inference software designed for use with morphological characters and maximum parsimony, powered by the use of genetic algorithms, as my graduation work. Before that, I worked at LABPALEO-UFPR, where I developed Ech.ino, a monitoring software using an Arduino for an actualistic taphonomy experiment.
